In 2020 and 2022 the City of Portland adopted new residential infill and middle housing land division zoning regulations. These changes removed the bans on duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and townhomes and expanded what you can do in single-family zones - with the goal of making housing more accessible and less expensive.
